May our Prayers Help Heal.

I know I haven't done a new post forever.
Hopefully I'll be able to do a better job at posting on a regular basis.

Right now I just wanted to tell everyone about a very special little boy who is fighting for his life.
His name is Briggs Hill he is 2 years old & he has been diagnosed with Medulloblastoma which is a highly malignant cancer.

Here is a picture of him, his mom & his big brother.

He is such a happy sweet little boy & he needs all the prayers & good thoughts that we can send to him & his family.

His parents Sylina & Brenn are good friends of ours.
Little Briggs has already been through so much & he just keeps fighting through it all.
He has been in the PICU at Primary Children's Hospital since Nov 11th.
For more information on Briggs you can check out his care page HERE.

He needs all the prayers that we can send his way for him & his family.

20 Year Reunion!

This weekend was so much fun it was my 20 year reunion.
(I know I just told my age, but I'm ok with that.)
Friday night they had a free alumni night at good old Roy High School.
It was so much fun to see friends that I hadn't seen since school, & some that I see once in awhile.
Somebody found a video that one of the teachers took of our 3 years in school it had been lost for like 20 years so that was really fun to watch.
We took a tour of our good old school & some things haven't changed at all.
Just like some of the people.
Sat we had a picnic for families & sat night we had the big dinner.
I had so much fun I can't wait until the next one.

Me & my good friend Lisa.

Me & my friends, ya we're freaks!
Tonia, Me, Chrystal, & Bonnie.

Me & more friends!
Everyone from Roy Jr. High School.
& Brandon McDowell.
( He would be the freak on the top that is Rockin On!)

Everyone from Roy Elementary.

I ordered the picture cd so I will post more pictures later.
If you have a chance to go to your reunion I highly recommend that you do.
It will be as fun as you want to make it!
Mine was a Blast!

Another trip to Lake Powell.

Sorry I've been so lax on posting.
We took another trip to Lake Powell this last weekend & we had a ton of fun.
We really needed at least one day longer though.
We left the big kids home because last time they got bored & did the usual teenager pout thing.
They wanted us to constantly run them to the marina where they could get service so they could talk & text there friends.
When we didn't do what they wanted 24/7 then they would get mad & pout.
Plus my daughter had to work so since it was just the weekend we left them home.
They both live at there dads house anyways.
(He lives about 2 blocks away from us)
The whole thing is another post altogether, I'll tell you about it another time.

Anyway we had a very good time.
Here are some pics.....

The boys had so much fun playing in the marina the water was so warm it was like 81 degrees.
I had a hard time getting them out.

Dad had a good time doing his thing!

The boys always have a good time on the boat.
Kelton wearing mom's glasses.
(I can't get him to wear his own, but he'll wear mine crazy kid!)

Gage watching the older boys, dad & grandpa cliff diving.
Jer's sister Steph, borhter in-law Roger & there oldest son Colby on there boat.
Kelton & dad swinging.
(Gage didn't like the water unless he could run around in it himself.)

Grandpa climbing the rocks to cliff dive.

Grandpa resting after his long climb.
Grandpa jumping!!!
Way to go Grandpa!!!

Random pics.....

Packing up to come home.

To all of our family that couldn't make it this time you were missed.
Oh & I actually got in the lake.
(that's a big deal for me because I am deathly afraid of water that I can't see the bottom).

A WaLk On ThE WiLd SiDe

Today we got Aunt Jo Jo to watch the boys Packed up the swimming suit & we headed for the FLOWRIDER.
(Well Jer did anyway).

A friend of Jers Chad and a bunch of his friends rented a 1 hour session & invited Jer to come along,  so we went.
It is so much fun watching everyone try not to eat it.

For those of you who may not know what Flowrider is I'll do my best to explain.
It's an indoor type pool thing that you can surf (or try to surf) or body board on.
I'm not a very good explainer so I'll show you some pictures.

Here is my Jer Sorta doing it....

Kristen doing it....

Chad doing it....

And the little ones doing it...

Here is a picture of most of the crew...

And after we went out for PIZZA!!!

It was a lot of fun watching everyone try to surf and wipe out.
I think next time I'm gonna try it.

GiRlS NiGhT OuT!!!

It's been a few days since I posted (Sorry) I've been a little crazy and really tired to many late nights working on my Dads Fathers Day Video (But it was worth it!).
Anyways here is what has been going on with me...

Friday night we did a Surprise Birthday Party for my adopted daughter Kami at my sister's house we had so much fun!!!
We had a bunch of girls, me, my sister & of course my Mom.
We did a little hot dog roasting, smores, silly string & of course a Cake Fight!!!
What that's not normal at your house?
I don't think it's possible for my daughter & my sister Nikki to eat cake.
Nikki claims it doesn't go to your hips that way, I'm thinking she's right!
We had a good time just hanging out and being Stupid.
Here is a slide show of some of the FUN!

=) Kami's Graduation!!! =)

Today was a good day!!!

I went to my adopted daughter Kami's High School Graduation.
(She's adopted through being best friends with my daughter Courtnie)
She is such a cute girl I Love her & am very Proud of her!!!
She went to Northridge High School (Davis County, Ut)
& She played on there Basketball team.
She & Courtnie Met about a year ago when Courtnie started working at Kents grocery store.
Kami was already working there at the time.
The 2 of them became fast friends & have been pretty much inseparable ever since.

They were destined to become friends, they are so much alike it's not funny!!!
kami is a little blond girl that likes to dye her hair dark brown & a few weeks before Court started at Kents she decided that she was going to dye her blond hair dark brown.
Just a coincidence?
I think not!!!
They both like boys shorts better than girls shorts, they say they fit more comfortably.
(I have no problem with this, they aren't wearing those BOOTY shorts)
They are both completely into sports and are Tom Boys
(At least they look like girls though)
They were just ment to be friends.
They get asked a lot if they are sisters or twins.

I can't believe that I'm almost the big "40" (Well I still have 2 years, but I'm closer to 40 than 35)
BUT......it's ok because I don't feel that old (I think having a younger husband helps some).
Well anyways I was looking through old pics to use in my dad's fathers day video and I came across some of my good old friends.....Our Little GaNg if you will.
Soooooooooo Of Course I have to share some of them.
BUT.....YOU have to promise not to laugh at us!!!

I think I get better with age.
Here are some more pics to enjoy at my friends expense!!!

Oh the good old days of High School......
Playin' steal the flag, jumpin the tracks on 6000, getting kicked out of Peter Piper Pizza, snackin' at good old corner 44.
Sluffin' almost daily (it's amazing we all graduated), just hangin out being good friends.  There's nothing like those day's!!!

I just wanted to say Happy Mothers Day to all of you great Mothers out there.
I hope you all had a great day!!!

This  is my Cute Mom and my Brothers & Sister.
Happy Mothers Day Mom I Love You!!!

For All Mothers

This is for all the mothers who froze their buns off on metal bleachers at soccer games instead of watching from cars, so that when their kids asked, "Did you see my goal?" They could say, "Of course, I wouldn't have missed it for the world," and mean it.

This is for all the mothers who have sat up all night with sick children in their arms, wiping up barf laced with Oscar Meyer weiners and cherry Kool-Aid saying, "It's OK honey, Mommy's here."

This is for all the mothers of Kosovo who fled in the night and can't find their children. This is for the mothers who gave birth to babies they'll never see and for the mothers who took those babies and gave them homes.

For all the mothers who run carpools and make cookies and sew halloween costumes and for all the mothers who don't.

What makes a good mother anyways? Is it patience? Compassion Broad hips? The ability to nurse a baby, cook dinner, and sew a button on a shirt, all at the same time? Or is it Heart? Is it the ache you feel when you watch your son or daughter disappear down the street, walking to school alone for the first time?

The jolt that takes you from sleeping to dread, from bed to crib at 2 am to put your hand on the back of a sleeping baby?
Is it the need to flee from wherever you are and hug your child when you hear news of a school shooting, a fire, a car accident, a baby dying?

I think so.

So this is for all the mothers who sat down with their children and explained all about making babies. And for all the mothers who wanted to but just couldn't.

This is for reading "Goodnight Moon" twice a night for a year. And then reading it again, 'Just one more time".

This is for all the mothers who messed up. Who yelled at their kids in the grocery store and swatted them in despair and stomp their feet like a tired two year old who wants ice cream before dinner.

This is for all the mothers who taught their children to tie their shoelaces before they started school and for all the mothers who opted for Velcro instead.

For all the mothers who bite their lips (sometimes until they bleed) when their 14 year olds dyed their hair green.

This is for all the mothers who lock themselves in the bathroom when babies keep crying and won't stop.

This is for all the mothers who show up at work with spit-up in their hair and milk-stains on their blouses and diapers in their purse.

This is for all the mothers who teach their sons to cook and their daughters to sink a jump shot.

This is for all the mothers whose heads turn automatically when a little voice calls "Mom?" in a crowd, even though they know their own offspring are home or are grown.

This is for mothers who put pinwheels and teddy bears on their children's graves.

This is for all the mothers whose children have gone astray and who can't find the words to reach them.

This is for all the mothers who sent their child to school with a stomach ache, assuring that they will be just FINE once they got there, only to get a call from the school nurse an hour later asking them to please pick them up right away.

This is for young mothers stumbling through diaper changes and sleep deprivation.
And mature mothers learning to let go.

For working moms and stay-at-home moms. Single mothers and married mothers.

Mothers with money and mothers without.

This is for you, so hang in there. The world would be a terrible place without the love of mothers everywhere. You make it a more civil, caring and safe place for the precious children in our world.
