Peanut Butter Corn Flake Cookies

My daughter & some of her friends were over a couple of nights ago & like us women are our conversation turned into one of food and good recipes.
My daughter was telling her friends about a cookie that my mom & I make & her friends had never heard of or had it.
I thought this was weird because I grew up on them & so did my husband, I thought everyones mom made them.
I made some tonight for a surprise party for my adopted daughter Kami's surprise sleepover birthday party.
I'll Blog about that tomorrow or sunday it should be a lot of fun!!!
Any way I thought I would share this REALLY REALLY easy recipe with all of you who may not have it.  Those who do maybe this will make you want to go make some.

Here are the ingredients......

I'm a Western Family nut (Can you tell?)
I used to work at Associated Foods Warehouse in Farr West, UT.
While working there I learned among other things that
most all of the Western Family brand food is a name brand packaged in Western Family.
Not all but a lot.  But that is another post.

Pretty simple ingredients
1 cup Karo (light) Syrup
1 cup Brown Sugar
1 cup Peanut Butter (Creamy or Chunky)
6 cups Corn Flakes.

1. On stove bring to a boil the Karo Syrup & Brown sugar

2. Stir in Peanut Butter until creamy

(Make sure that you have a REALLY CUTE assistant
I'm sure you all have one or more of them around)

3. take off of heat & stir in Corn Flakes

4. Drop by teaspoon on parchment paper & let cool

5. ENJOY!!!

You love your kids, all your kids A LOT!! he fact that you ahve two one year olds and your hair had not fallen out-amazing! Super great lady you are! Bonnie told me that you are one of amazing woman, I have to agree! I read about your last husband. I am so sorry to read about your loss. He souds like one tough guy! That is a tough cancer-one of the worst.
Also-so was the water at Lake Powell freezing? June is still cold water. We love to go in august when it's 100 outside and 80 in the water. then all we do is lay in the water-all day! the best vaca ever! We throw our watches away, read books, lay in the sun and eat for 7 days! I don't take kids. I never have. We always said the girls could go when they are 8-seemed so far-now 8 gets to go this year. She should be great-i hope! Anyway-enough chatting, sorry for the long post! Have a great night!

I have heard of these, but we made them with rice crispies, like rice crispie treats but with peanut butter.
